About Clear Restoration
Clear was formed in 2006 as a textile restoration company specializing in personal property recovery after disasters. Based on direct client demand, we expanded into a full-service restoration company and pre and post disaster consulting firm. Today, our headquarters is in Millersville, Maryland, serving the entire Mid-Atlantic region, with a second division in Miami, Florida serving Miami-Dade and surrounding counties.
We are one of the few full-service restoration companies in the markets we serve. Water damage, fire and smoke damage, storm and catastrophe response, mold and environmental remediation, contents processing, reconstruction, and consulting are all handled under one roof. This means one point of contact, one team managing every phase of your loss, and a clear process from first call to final walkthrough.

Our Leadership and Approach
Clear is led by Chip Cunningham, who formed the foundation of the company in 2005. Chip has spent over 20 years in the restoration industry and holds the IICRC Triple Master designation, one of the most advanced certifications in the field. Restoration runs in his family. His father, Les Cunningham, is one of the industry’s most recognized figures. Chip is a graduate of the University of Colorado and earned his Master’s degree from Columbia Business School.
Our operations are managed by Vince Scarfo, a former executive at GE, FedEx, and UPS. Vince brings Six Sigma training and deep experience in managing large-scale operations and P&L responsibilities. His background in engineering and business management ensures that every project at Clear is executed with precision, accountability, and a focus on client outcomes.
Our staff follows a strict process for each loss. Every situation is different, and our leadership team develops an execution plan specific to your property. That plan is distributed to field technicians digitally so there is no ambiguity in how the work is carried out. We are hired to solve problems, and our mission is to solve them with efficiency, empathy, and excellence.
